Donor Diversity
European Sperm Bank donors are young men with big hearts. They are between 18 and 45 years old, and they represent the general diversity in society. This basically means that they come from every walk of life with all kinds of religion, ethnicity, education, job, and sexual orientation.
They are mentally and physically healthy and have undergone thorough genetic and medical testing before being approved to donate.

An added sense of security for you and your patient
Genetic matching is an additional screening test that improves the chances of the future child being healthy.
We screen our donors thoroughly, but in many cases of children being ill, the child has inherited the disease from the mother and the man – be it donor or father – because they have mutations in the same gene.
To reduce the risk of having a child with a genetic disease, we’ve developed a genetic matching test called GeneXmatch.

European Sperm Bank is an international leader within fertility. Founded in Copenhagen in 2004, we recruit sperm donors in London, Hamburg and across Denmark. We set very high standards for our donors. Only 5-7% of the men who apply to become donors with us end up being approved to donate sperm.
